《水經注》曰：鎬水上承鎬池於昆明池北，周武王之所都也。故《詩》云：「考卜維王，宅是鎬京。維龜正之，武王承之。」鎬水又北流與滮池合，又北經清泠臺，西經慈石門注于渭。鄭玄曰：「豐鎬之間，水北流也。」
