It also says: "Cao Bao carried a lead pencil in his bosom when lying down, and recited poetry and books when walking." It also says: "Gao Feng read books, and his voice did not cease at night. His wife went to the fields to dry wheat and gave him a pole with which to guard the chickens. When it rained heavily, he was so absorbed in reading that he failed to notice the wheat being washed away."
