晋魏休宁云:“以大功之縗,易既练之服,是中祥宜缉其縗也。若不缉,为重大功,不得夺之。”魏顗云:“按卒哭更以六升布为縗,但齐。既葬,还服既虞之縗。若如斯言,以大功之丧,夺既练之服。寻详三年之丧及大功之服,皆丧之重者也,而使斩縗但止三月,殆非立礼之意。礼大功以上服降,皆以布升数为差,故大丧初縗三升,既虞六升,中祥七升。縗以三变,非不降也,何必期于缉縗然后为杀。愚谓服相易夺,正以升数重轻,不系縗之齐斩。”休宁又言:“三年之丧,笄杖不易,其馀皆变,中祥缉縗,是轻之也。且为父初以三升之縗,既虞受六升之布,轻于母也。齐縗既葬而虞,以七升布为縗,轻于为父也。”顗又难曰:“礼云女子子适人,有父母之丧,既成齐縗之服而夫出之,不改服而待既虞更服斩縗之服,受笄总屦带如故终三年。以此徵之,不缉縗亦可知也。缉与不缉,别齐斩耳。今斩止一周,称为三年,未为先见。”休宁又云:“三年之丧再周耳,数月不合称三年。斩者举大数之名,一周大丧之正礼。自转降中祥,安得不缉,不缉则无变,明不应终丧斩者可知也。”虞喜云:“斩縗,因丧之称,非为终三年也。按礼为母丧縗四升,而父丧既虞縗六升,此为齐制,不复斩也。今代人既葬之后无改易,唯小祥而变,故缉在此月。父母情等,服俱三年,父斩縗,母缉縗,以别尊卑。斩止三月,未为怪也。女子出,待既虞受以斩縗之受,非更斩也。”魏顗又云:“要记称母为长子齐縗三年,其服节如父为子者。未有明徵,而便缉之,斩名何得复存?礼虽言馀皆易,不言灭斩。”喜又云:“父为长子斩縗,母为齐縗,若不言齐其下,恐母与父俱当斩縗,所以别耳,非谓明终斩之议耶。”
