| | Only what was born from his literary talent, on a cunning hare day of the last winter month. In nature, he is refined and eager, valiant and bold; in body, swift and rapid, he strides forward with vigor. They trimmed fine bamboo to make the tube, adding lacquered silk for binding. Its form is broad and straight-ended; it was dyed with black ink to fix its color. They depicted the yin and yang of heaven and earth, praising Fu Huang's great achievements. They recounted the virtuous deeds of the Five Emperors, extolling the clear and illustrious writings. They recorded the achievements of the Three Kings, marking the four hundred audiences of eight hundred states. They studied the Six Classics and compiled the writings of a hundred scholars, establishing the supreme standard and ordering the eternal principles of human relations. They synthesized human affairs in obscurity, praising the unseen with the enlightened deities. Numerous metaphors and analogies were employed; no application failed to be harmonious. The upper part is firm, the lower part soft—this is the position of heaven and earth. New replaces old in succession; this is the order of the four seasons. Rounded and harmonious, upright and just—this is the ultimate standard of compass and square. Black head and yellow tube—these are the colors of heaven and earth.
