赫爾陽精,當朱仲兮,厥狀難明。杲杲而威棱四序,炎炎而火烈群生。九野飛塵,破氛昏而下燭;六龍銜耀,亙天地而橫行。其初也,陰魄落彼,大明生矣。嫖諦諦諞苑衫矗蒼龍黯黯而光死。輾煙霞而炎駕旁轉,洞寰海而紅輪徐起。煙勃乎扶桑之津,鼎沸乎咸池之水。八兌苫鵓之內,六合若炎邱之裏。路歧難處,傷哉行役之人;稼穡堪憂,嗟爾耕耘之子。始驚出地,漸見摩天。恂滌饈ⅲ翕裁中。赫曦而光碎波濤,血殷江海;蓬勃而氣蒸林麓,焰起山川。則居上克明,當中益熾。想羲氏於執熱,當亢龍之用事。照邱陵而恐是焦原,蒸壟畝而皆成赤地。仰之者目眩精毛,處之者神昏體悸。草木為之生煙,峰巒以之減翠。千里無雲,炎風不聞。木而棲者翕其翼,泉而躍者伏其群。不黨黎剩有異恩覃之士;無私蠻貊,終同炎德之君。可流金而爍石,可焦頭而爛額。浩浩兮坌紅埃,融融兮過虛碧。遂使無生禪子,愛其孤鶴片雲;休影逸人,戀此幽松古柏。斯則晉卿執法於前代,魯史立言於往昔。於戲!猛以濟威,剛以馭下。牧於外而寇亂咸戢,升於朝而諂諛斯寡。如夏日之赫焉,孰云不足畏也。

或曰:「貞白先生在《梁書高士傳》,今而為傳何謂?」曰:《梁書》之傳先生,猶《史記》之述老氏也。其敘事頗刪略,俾仙聖行業,不得昭著,而紛綸其間。夫先生識洞古今,事炳山世。神棲寂泊,精騖元樞。定三品以黜浮偽,分五域以鏡區貫。著《隱訣》以析綱目,述《真誥》以旌降受。激揚隱微之外,馳騁清虛之際。乃元中之董狐,道家之尼父也。況發揮墳典,游泳百家。窮天地星辰之文,究陰陽龜筮之術。至於鯨死彗出,麟鬥月蝕。銅山崩而鐘鐸響,蠶珥絲而商絃絕。龍吟□起,虎嘯風生。此性理冥停僉謂之感,先生商榷其微,非感非應。夫然,將叔向、子產、京房、郭璞擬先生以為博乎!齊永明十年,謝詹事瀹自吳興聞先生棄官隱華陽,乃於道中作傳,傳疏略不用。陶翊乃作本起錄,至齊末遂已,亦事多遺闕。其後潘泉文復踵其作,始天監元年至七年夏四月。於時先生改名氏,潛訪遐嶽,旁無知覺。於是泉文又絕筆於此。於戲!前二傳既太簡,門人編錄,復無條貫。俾君子辟世之道,清真養翮之跡,其幾乎磨滅歟!乃於《登真隱訣》及《真誥》《泰清經》先生文集,揣摩事迹,作三卷焉。

☆鄭還古

還古號谷神神子,會昌時人。謹按《博異記》,晁公武《讀書志》以為馮廓撰;胡應麟《二酉綴遺》以為詩人鄭還古撰。今據舊本《博異記》原題谷神子還古撰。還古所著《殷七七傳》又與此記相類,當即《博異記》之逸篇,故定從應麟說。

夫習讖譚妖,其來久矣。非博聞強識,何以知之?然須抄錄,且知雌黃事類。語其虛則源流具在,定其實則姓氏罔差。既悟英彥之討論,亦是賓朋之節奏。若纂集克備,即應對如流。餘放志西齋,從宦北闕。因尋往事,輒議編題。類成一卷,非徒但資笑語,抑亦粗顯箴規。或冀逆耳之辭,稍獲周身之誡。徘笸已,何必標名?是稱谷神子。
