沈嚴𢎞治湖州府志，字叔寛，徳清人。大中祥符八年，中禮部第四廷試登甲科，監洪州武寧茶塲，兼領本邑事，吏畏其亷，民愛其慈，及死，貧不能葬，太守榺元發葬於縣之永和鄉。范仲淹《沈嚴墓誌》：除南康軍判官，有善績，改宣城節度掌書記。時國家興山澤之利，主計薦嚴為洪州武寧之茗局，外臺上請兼領本邑事，朝廷從之，君子謂其多善政。
