35  | 光緒改元，代景廉為都統。二年，軍阜康。劉錦棠赴軍所商進止，議先攻古牧。乃輕騎襲黃田，通汲道，克之。連下烏魯木齊、迪化、昌吉、呼圖壁諸城，直偪瑪納斯，斬其偽帥馬興，南北二城以次皆下。賞雙眼花翎，予世職，調伊犁將軍。七年，詔接收伊犁，按圖劃界。十一年二月，軍標譁變，五月，再變，並譟餉戕官。伊地本極邊，協餉乖時，軍多疲饉。金順馭眾寬，將領營官相率蒙蔽，而總督譚鍾麟劾其上下縱恣，民怨沸騰，為陳籌餉易人之策。於是上召來京，以錫綸代之。道肅州，病卒。身後不名一錢，幾無以為斂。寮寀醵金，喪始歸。部伍縞素，步行五千里至京者，達二百人云。事聞，贈太子太保，謚忠介，予建祠。 |
