紹興十五年秋，復營建神御殿於崇政殿之東，朔望節序、帝後生辰，皇帝皆親酌獻行香，用家人禮。其殿名：徽宗曰承元，欽宗曰端慶，高宗曰皇德，孝宗曰系隆，光宗曰美明，寧宗曰垂光，理宗曰章熙，度宗曰昭光。

淳熙中，高宗祔廟，翰林學士洪邁言：「配食功臣，先期議定。臣兩蒙宣諭，欲用文武臣各兩人，文臣故宰相贈太師秦國公謚忠穆呂頤浩、特進觀文殿大學士謚忠簡趙鼎，武臣太師蘄王謚忠武韓世忠、太師魯王謚忠烈張俊。此四人皆一時名將相，合於天下公論。」議者皆以為宜，遂從之。秘書少監楊萬里獨謂丞相張浚不得配食為非，爭之不得，因去位焉。
