王鍲《明孝友傳》：黃嚴人隨父顯避賊，顯被執，將殺之，鍲亟趨前請代，賊遂殺鍲而釋顯。危貞昉。宋濂《危孝子傳》：臨海孝子危貞昉，字孟陽，父孝先，洪武辛亥進士，官麟逰丞，再遷陵川，坐法謫役江浦縣。貞昉時為郡，諸生聞之，奔訴於郡守求代守，以其名𨽻學籍，難之。貞昉號泣於庭，左右為之言，乃如其請，即日上道詣京師，伏闕上疏曰：「臣父陵川丞，不幸絓吏議，輸作大江之濱，筋力向衰，不能執事大母。范氏春秋逾九十旦，旦念之，恐染霜露疾，無以遂菽水之忱，致抱終天之憾。臣犬馬之齒方殷，願代父作勞，使其歸養，即死無恨」。疏奏，上惻然從之。貞昉乃解儒衣易短製，欣然就役，質體尫弱，不勝負任之苦。越七月，病卒。
