千嵗翁,安期先生者,瑯琊阜鄉人也,賣藥於東海邊,時人皆言千嵗翁。秦始皇東遊,請見與語,三日三夜,賜金璧,度數千萬,出於阜鄉亭,皆置去,留書,以赤玉舄一量為報,曰後數年,求我於蓬萊山。始皇即遣使者徐市、盧生等數百人入海,未至蓬萊山,輒逢風波而還。列仙傳。李少君,字雲翼,好道入泰山採藥,修絶穀全身之術,遇安期生,少君疾困,叩頭乞活,安期以神樓散一匕與服之,即愈,乃上言:「臣能凝澒成白銀飛,丹砂成黃金,服之白日升天身,竦則凌天,伏入無間,控飛龍而入遐遍,乗白鴻而九陔,周𠖇海之棗,大如𤓰,鍾山之李,大如瓶,臣食之,遂生竒光師安期授臣口訣,是以保萬物之可成也」。於是上甚尊敬,為立屋第,漢武內傳少君言於帝曰:「臣嘗遊海上,見安期生食巨棗,大如𤓰安期生仙者,通蓬萊中,合則見人,不合則隠,史武紀:少君有不死之方而家貧無以市其藥物,故出於漢,以假途求其財,道成而去。董仲舒少君家録。少君之將去也,武帝夢與之共登,嵩髙山半道,有使者乗龍持節從雲中下,云太一請少君。帝覺,以語左右曰:「如我之夢,少君將舍我去矣」。數日而少君稱病,死乆之,帝令人發其棺,無尸,唯衣冠在焉。漢禁中起居注。上士舉形昇虛,謂之天仙。中士遊於名山,謂之地仙。下士先死後,蛻謂之尸解仙仙經。韓衆告劉根云:夫仙道有昇天躡雲者,有遊行五岳者,有服食不死者,有尸解而仙者。凡脩仙道,要在服藥,藥有上下,仙有數品,不知房中之事及行氣導引并神藥者,亦不能仙也神仙犬吠雲中。淮南王安愛道術之士有八,公詣門曰:聞王好士,故來相從」。王乃朝夕朝拜,授王丹經三十六卷。時雷被伍被,乃告王反,八公謂王曰:可以去矣。乃使安登山大祭,埋金地中,即白日昇天,八公與安所至山上石皆陷成跡,至今人馬跡猶存,時人傳八公安臨去時餘藥器置在中庭,雞犬䑛啄之,盡得昇天,故雞鳴天上,犬吠雲中也鞠道龍說淮南王好方士方士授之,術見遂有畫地成江河,撮土為山巖,噓吸為寒暑,吐𠻳為雨霧,王亦卒與諸方士俱去西京雜記:斥仙河東蒲坂,有項都者,與一子入山學仙十年而歸家,家人問其故,曰:在山中三年,精思有仙人來迎我,共乗龍而昇天,及到天上,先過紫府金牀,玉几晃晃,昱、昱真貴處也,仙人但以流霞一盃與我,飲之輒不飢渴,忽然思家到天帝前,謁拜失儀,見斥來還,令當更自修積,乃可得更後矣。昔淮南王劉安昇天見上帝,而髙坐大言,自稱寡人,遂見謫守,入㕑三年,吾何人哉?河東因號都為斥仙抱朴論衡仙人,將我上天,居月傍,甚寒虛妄」。夫神仙之書,道家之言,一云,傳說,上為辰尾宿嵗星降為東方朔,淮南王安誅於淮南,而謂之獲道,輕舉鉤戈死於雲陽,而謂之屍逝柩空,其為虛妄甚矣哉!又世虛然有仙人之說,仙人者,儻猱猨之屬,與世人得道化為仙人乎?夫雉入海為蛤䴏,入海為蜃,當其徘徊其翼,差池其羽,猶自識也,忽然自投,神化體變,乃更與黿鼈為羣,豈復自識翺翔林,薄巢垣屋之娛乎?牛哀病而為虎,逢其兄而噬之,若此者,何貴于變化耶?而顧為匹夫?所謂納虛妄之詞,信眩惑之說,隆重以招弗,臣傾産以供虛,求散王爵以榮之,清閒館以居之,經年累稔,終無一効,或歿於沙丘或崩乎?五柞臨時,雖誅其身,滅其族,紛然足為天下笑矣,然夀命長短,骨體強劣,各有人焉,善養者終之勞,擾者半之,虚用者殀之,其斯之謂歟?辨道論劉根不覺飢渴,或謂能忍盈虛,王仲都當盛夏之月,十爐火炙之不熱,當嚴冬之時,裸之而不寒,桓君山以為性耐寒暑,桓君山以無仙道好竒者為之愽物志仙術誕妄,源流乆矣,韓終、徐福始詐於秦邦,文成五利,紹偽於漢國,敘控鶴弗目陵雲之實言,餐霞莫覩療飢之信,致有猱猨蜃蛤之論,繫風捕影之談,故棄實瓠者,以非器也,廢石田者,以絶蓺也,賤左道者以虛偽也。辨正論。絶穀道家,潛居㫁粮,䖍修仙術,僕聞老氏有五味之誡,而無絶穀之訓矣。是以蟬蛾不食,君子誰重,蛙蟒穴藏,聖人何貴!且自古聖賢,莫不歸終,吾子獨云不死,何斯濫乎!故舜有蒼梧之墳,禹有㑹稽之陵,周公有改葬之篇,仲尼有兩楹之夢,曽參有啓足之辭,顔回有不幸之歎,慧通駁夷夏論。鼎湖亡返,嶠山之冡獨存,流沙不歸,扶風之隴空樹。皇覽云:黃帝冡在嶠山,老子冡扶風。辨正論。西王桃實屢熟而靡延,東海桑田,數變而非永。五雲九轉,悲繩鳥之暫留。飛雪𤣥霜,比遊駒以難固。信終馗無大椿之乆,蜉蝣罕龜鶴之年夫滅身以懼大患,絶智以避長勞,議生靈於懸疣,齊泯性於王樂,蓋老莊之談也。且綿綿常住古皇,則不死不終,繩繩無名,老氏則復歸無物然常存,非永沒之稱無物,豈長生之化耶!丹臺周乂山遇羨門子髙,叩頭乞長生,羨門曰:「子名在丹臺,玉室之中,何憂不仙!真人,周君內傳。謝自然泛海!」將詣蓬萊求師船,為風飄到一山,見道人指,言:「天台山司馬承●,名在丹臺,身居赤城,此真良師也。蓬萊隔弱水三十萬里,非舟楫可行,非飛仙無以到」。續仙傳。金格青童君告趙旭曰:「君宿世有道,骨法應仙,然名已在,金格相當,與吹洞簫於紅樓之上,撫雲璈于碧落之中,心死可以身生,保精可以致神。通幽記。道可心得」。宣平坊賣錢貫王老善黃白之術,賀知章信重之,與夫人持一明珠上老人,自云保惜多時者。老人即付童子市胡餅延賀賀,意甚不快。老人曰:「夫道者可以心得,慳惜未止,術無由成,須山谷勤求,非市朝所授也」。賀悟,謝而去。數日,失老人所在,賀因求入道還鄉原化仙墟薛𤣥貞者,遨遊雲泉,得長生之道,常於五嶺間棲憩,毎遇人曰:「九疑五嶺神仙之墟,山水幽竒,烟霞勝異,如陽朔之峯巒,挺拔,博羅之洞府,清虛不可忘也。所以祝融棲神於衡阜,虞舜登仙於蒼梧,赫胥耀跡於潛峯,黃帝飛輪於鼎湖,其餘髙貞列仙,人臣輔相,騰翥逍遙者,無山無之。仙傳拾遺。
