18  | 湯鴻玉，徐桂林弟子也。桂林，字聽香，皖人，得名在蕊仙、冠卿之前。既脫籍，向吳中娶婦。主安次香兄鐵笛生家。婦翁黃姓，故吾嘉應人，寄居姑蘇者也。既成禮，挈婦復來京師，不複與婦家通。余曾為一作寄書郵，問前訓，輒遇殷洪喬浮沈之。凡三四函，無一得達云。聽香居韓家潭，以其昔年所居天馥堂，畀其徒為門榜，而自署所居室曰「雲仍書屋」，竟將以自別於樂籍中人。然人固當知天馥堂，無有知雲仍書屋者。雖翹然自異，思比幽蘭，不欲與眾草凡卉伍，固未易得矣。鴻玉色藝，亦止中人，在後來諸郎中無大出色，特以其系出名門，故多刮目相待。乃顏佩秋直欲以《紅樓夢》梨香院女樂中齡官儗之。屈到嗜芰，或亦別好所鍾。與六朝人論州郡大中正之敝，「上品無寒門，下品無世族」，但以門地征闢，能有幾人張目？不畣江東米價，如王掾之不癡者，然則龐士元拔十得五之說，殆亦未可盡信矣。三餘部。寓韓家潭，鴻玉居馥堂；桂林居雲仍畫屋。 |
