32  | 問曰。新故交代。謂之為替。何也。答曰。按爾雅云。替。廢也。詩稱。勿替引之。傳云。無替舊職。皆謂不廢墜耳。前人既廢。後人代之。故總謂代為替。近者俗人作鬄發字訛舛。妄改作。人因以為替代之字。相承行之。尋問根源。莫能解說。武德中。餘忝中書舍人。專掌綸誥。于時中書令密國公平原封德彞亦性愛蒼雅。留心文字。詔敕宣行。務合訓典。舉餘釐正。大改違失。因爾始為替代之字。自茲已後。莫不化焉。┳志矣。又鞾履之屜說計反。自有正文。鞍下屜脊。義亦無異。今既見替代字如此。遂作替脊。失其義旨。此屜非謂交代以替脊背。較然可知矣。 |
