《卷一 天語》
2  | 瘴之名不一。當八九月時，黃茅際天，暑氣鬱勃，有若釜鬵，人行其間，苦為炎毒所焮，昏眩煩渴。輕則寒熱往來，是謂冷瘴；重則蘊火沉沉，晝夜若在爐炭，是謂熱瘴。稍遲一二日，則血凝而不可救矣。最重者，一病失音，莫知所以，是謂啞瘴。冷瘴者，與痎瘧相似，秋來多患之，天涼及嚴寒少有。若囘頭瘴，則因不能其水土，冷熱相忤，陰陽相搏，遂成是疾。攝養者知此，亟宐自慎，毋多早行，毋多露宿，毋多日中而馳。蓋日中酷暑，驟雨初消，陰陽之氣交剝，艸木蒸變，行人最忌，宐少駐駕以避之。而又毋輕解衣，衣解即服，涼勿踰時，斯為勿藥之喜。又常有溫中固下、升降陰陽之法以相濟，使其天和不傷，真氣不耗，則亦何瘴之足云！嗟夫！天地一氣之始甚微，麤而為風，濁而為煙霧，為瘴，而天地之真氣隱矣。惟人亦然，神明蕩則其真氣亦隱，於是而陰陽俱濁，為煙，為霧，為瘴，以自昏蒙，有不能保其天年者矣。故惟心存而後氣存，氣存於一念之中，而心周於天地之外，斯能清明在躳，志氣如神，而無瘴癘之患。 |
