5  | 道光十九年正月，查辦大臣林則徐到粵。二月初四日，與總督鄧廷楨、巡撫怡良坐堂傳訊洋商，諭令繳煙，酌請賞犒。而英國最大，諸國皆觀望於英，英商又推諉於領事義律。初十日，義律由澳進省，奸商哋欲遁，官知之，困諸公司，行移咨海關監督豫堃，將黃浦各洋商貨船封艙，撤洋商館買辦，工人添兵守隘，禁人往來。距五日，伙食將盡，義律懼，稟繳鴉片二萬二百八十三箱。林則徐奏請繳煙一箱，賞茶五斤，檄躉船回國。義律請留船在澳裝貨，不許，義律不受茶，各洋商遂往澳門。七月初八日，林則徐統兵駐香山縣城，分兵駐各隘，嚴斷澳門伙食，傳諭西洋逐英人。西洋恐，奉檄驅義律噸並住澳英人五十七家，寄住尖沙嘴貨船及潭仔躉船。 |
