73  | 蘇州桃花塢有缸甏阿慶者「甏」，俗字，古無之，《集韻》有「<；平瓦>；」字，蒲孟切，音膨，<；亢瓦>；屬。或即此字，多膂力，鄉里咸憚之。有某甲與之忤，慶糾其黨，欲毆之。甲懼，奔告於慶之妻父，其妻父曰：「是不可以理諭也，汝謹避之而已。」甲匿數月，偶出，遇慶於途，痛毆之。甲憤且愧，歸則吞生鴉片煙而死，鄉里莫敢為一言。久之，阿慶亦死。其子曰二和尚，年長矣，家亦小康。一日，自市上晚歸，遇甲於塗，呼曰：「汝父殺餘，餘今且殺汝！」和尚大駭，狂奔歸家，遂大病，述所見，家人大具牲醴以祭之。久之，病始愈。踰年，又遇諸塗，歸又大病，家人為焚紙錢無算，久之，病亦愈。而和尚以久病，遂失業，家亦落。一日，又遇諸塗，和尚習見之，亦不畏也。謂甲曰：「吾今非昔比矣，饔飧不繼，生亦無味，顧安所得死？」甲曰：「何不食生鴉片煙？」和尚諾之。至夜，謂家人曰：「某甲教我以禦貧之計，吾從其教，已食生雅片煙矣。」家人方驚愕，而和尚忽跳擲號呼，移時竟死。 |
