《卷二十九》
67  | 林檎一名來禽，一名文林郎果，一名蜜果。此果味甘，能來眾禽于林；故有林禽、來禽之名。唐高宗時，紀王李謹得五色林檎似朱柰，以貢。帝大悅，賜謹為文林郎。人因呼林檎為「文林郎果」。又云：其樹從河中浮來，有文林郎拾得種之，因以為名。《本草圖經》曰：木似柰；實比柰差圓。亦有甘酢二種：甘者，早熟而味脆美；酢者，差晚，須熟爛堪啖。陳士良云：大長者為柰，圓者為林檎，夏熟。小者，味澀為梣；又名楸子，秋熟。林檎樹，二月開粉紅花。六七月熟，又有金、紅、水、蜜、黑五種。李時珍曰：其味酢者，即楸子也。 |
