燕兵掠彰徳，陷林縣，安在真定度北平空虛，帥萬騎攻之，棣方軍大名，遣將馳救，安戰不利，引還。時燕髙煦、髙燧謀傾世子，髙熾世子與髙燧守北平，髙煦從棣軍，有竉方孝孺門人林嘉猷者，嘗以事至燕邸，知其狀，孝孺言于帝曰：「兵家貴間，燕父子兄弟可間也。帝命孝孺草書，遣錦衣衛千戶張安如燕貽世子，令歸朝廷，許以王燕，世子得書不啓封，並安等送之軍。中官黃儼方曲事髙燧，使人馳報棣曰：「世子且反」。棣疑之，問髙煦，髙煦曰：世子固善太孫。語未竟，世子所遣使以書及張安至，棣啓視，遽曰：「嗟乎！幾殺吾子！乃囚安等。盛庸檄大同守將房昭引兵入紫荊闗，畧保定據易州西水砦以窺北平。吳傑遣都指揮韋諒以兵萬餘轉餉昭軍，棣曰：「昭得糧守險，未易拔也」。引兵圍之，都指揮花英等往援，與棣戰于齊眉山，大敗，昭諒走，棣勒兵還北平。質實。林縣，漢隆慮縣，東漢改隆為林。金林州，明改縣，屬彰徳府，今因之。易州，隋置，明屬保定府，今升直𨽻州西。水砦在州西南八十里郎山上，四面險絶。齊眉山在易州西南百里，亦曰峨眉山。林嘉猷，名昇，以字行，寧海人。九月，倭冦浙東。
