49  | 临海县之东湖有樵夫者，竟不知为何许人，燕诏至日，皆纷纷传语曰：「新天子登极。」樵夫愕然曰：「旧天子安在？」或应曰：「已烧宫自焚。」樵夫掩面大哭，抱石投湖而死。又昆山人姓龚名翊者，为金川门卒，见谷王槵与李景隆开关迎入燕王，大哭而去。已闻燕诏至县，又痛哭数日，呕血而毙。尤奇者，燕山卫卒储福，当靖难兵起，逃归缙云山中。三年而燕诏至，语其妻范氏曰：「吾虽一介小卒，义不愿为叛逆之民。」抚膺大恸，绝粒而卒。范氏方在韶年，姿容明洁，有当道谋欲娶之，范誓死守贞。其事在三十九回，且演下文听者。 |
