襍歌謠辭誦氏諺語不錄郭 舊序詩曰：「心之憂矣，我歌且謠」。《爾雅》曰：「徒歌謂之謠」。《廣雅》曰：「聲比於琴，瑟曰歌。《韓詩章句》曰：有章曲曰歌，無章曲曰謠。按《漢書五行志》曰：《傳》曰：言之不從，是謂不艾，厥咎僭，厥罰恒陽，厥極憂。時則有詩妖。君炕陽而暴虐，臣畏刑而拑口，則怨謗之氣發於歌謠，故有詩妖。文心雕龍曰：庻婦謳，吟土風。詩官採言，樂盲被律，志感絲篁，氣變金石。《冊府元龜》曰：古者命輶軒之，使廵萬國，采異言，靡不畢載，以為奏籍，王者所以觀風俗之得失以考政也。國風雅頌，由是生焉。春秋以来，乃有婉孌總角之謠，傳於閭巷，皆成章協律，著禍福之先兆，推尋參驗，信而有徵。此皆本傳詩奴之指，以序述歌謠者也。若劉勰之論頌曰：頌者容也。夫民各有心，勿壅惟口。晉輿之稱原田，魯氏之刺裘鞞，直言不詠短辭，以諷丘明、子髙並諜為誦，斯則野誦之變體浸被乎人亊矣。《論諺》曰：諺者，直語也，喪言亦不及交，故弔亦稱諺。㕓路淺言，有實無華。鄒穆公云，囊漏儲中，皆其類也。《太誓》：古人有言，牝雞無晨。太雅云：人亦冇言，惟憂用老。並上古遺諺，詩書可引者也。又曰：夫心險如山，口壅若川，怨怒之情不一，歡謔之言無方。昔華元棄甲城者，發睅目之謳。臧紇喪師，國人造侏儒之歌，並嗤戲形貌，內怨為俳也。又蠶解鄙諺，貍首淫哇，茍可箴戒，載于禮典。故知諧辭讔言，亦無棄矣。以上所稱，殊名一義，樂府舊載，百一僅存，近代詩紀，亦頗闕逸。今編古歌謠諺，于首次以厯代間參鈎䜟，仍從郭氏總歸歌謠》。
