《卷六（漁洋評杜調記）》
74  | 約而言之，葉石林可謂「以意逆志」，上溯魏、晉者，此原是漁洋論五言詩之大旨，其所鈔《三昧》、《十選》，皆此職志也。然漁洋於六朝則鈔及庾子山廿韻之作，而於唐則轉不取十韻外者，何也？故其於初唐亦止取短章以為近古，而長篇則以為近靡，又何論元、白諸篇矣。若杜公五言古詩，長篇如《北征》諸作，正復何減《雅》、《頌》，而可以長短較量乎？所以就學杜言之，人皆知其高古雄渾，而其用鈍筆處，不如其用利筆之渺斗硭幸病＜慈紜懊緶空山」一聯，更無人理會矣。觀古人墨跡，遇禿毫處，則嗤為敗筆者，人皆如是耳！然而杜詩初不以鈍筆見長，即漁洋之每摘杜公累句，固於學杜之理，非其至論，而亦於評杜之妙，初不相妨也。杜詩固不因漁洋之摘累句而稍有損，即漁洋之論詩，亦豈以其摘杜累句而有損乎？況愚所見漁洋評杜之真本，其所圈識，尤關精微之詣。愚方欲摘取漁洋圈識之句，以醒學者之目，又恐其近似時文八股之習，是以聯因張氏此刻內《八哀詩》評，而略具其概於此。愚豈敢以漁洋心眼，印定讀杜之指歸哉？ |
