18  | 东昏即位，司空徐孝嗣管朝政，欲与共事，僧珍揣不久安，竟弗往。时高祖已临雍州，僧珍固求西归，得补邔令。既至，高祖命为中兵参军，委以心膂。僧珍阴养死士，归之者甚众。高祖颇招武猛，士庶响从，会者万馀人，因命按行城西空地，将起数千间屋，以为止舍，多伐材竹，沈于檀溪，积茅盖若山阜，皆不之用。僧珍独悟其旨，亦私具橹数百张。义兵起，高祖夜召僧珍及张弘策定议，明旦乃会众发兵，悉取檀溪材竹，装为艛舰，葺之以茅，并立办。众军将发，诸将果争橹，僧珍乃出先所具者，每船付二张，争者乃息。 |
