17  | 「且夫秦之所欲弱者莫如楚，而能弱楚者莫如梁。楚雖有富大之名而實空虛；其卒雖多，然而輕走易北，不能堅戰。悉梁之兵南靣而伐楚，勝之必矣。割楚而益梁，虧楚而適秦，嫁禍安國，此善事也。大王不聽臣，秦下甲士而東伐，雖欲事秦，不可得矣。 |
