119  | 莊秀才子洪云：「康熙三十八年，郡民謝鸞、謝鳳偕堪輿至羅漢門卜地；歸家俱病，醫療罔效。後始悟前曾乞火於大傑巔番婦，必為設向。適郡中有漢人娶番婦者，因求解於婦；隨以口吮鸞、鳳臍中各出草一莖，尋愈。番婦自言，初學咒時，坐臥良久，如一樹在前，臥而誦向，樹立死，方為有靈」。諸羅志：「作法詛咒，名向。先試樹木，立死，解而復蘇，然後用之；不則恐能向不能解也。入舍，無敢胠篋探囊。擅其技者多老番婦。田園阡陌，數尺一杙，環以繩，雖山豕麋鹿弗敢入。漢人初至，摘啖果蓏，唇立腫，求其主解之，轉瞬平復如初。近年附郭諸社，畏法不敢為：稍遠，則各社皆有。或於笭箵中取鵝卵石置於地，能令飛走；喝之，則止」。 |
