4  | 二月庚戌，潞州奏，河東劉崇與契丹大將軍楊袞，舉兵南指。壬戌，宰臣馮道率百僚上表請御殿，凡三上，允之。丁卯，以中書令馮道充山陵使，太常卿田敏充禮儀使，兵部尚書張昭充鹵簿使，御史中丞張煦充儀仗使，開封少尹、權判府事王敏充橋道使。河東賊將張暉率前鋒自團柏谷入寇，帝召群臣議親征。宰臣馮道等奏，以劉崇自平陽奔遁之後，勢弱氣奪，未有復振之理，竊慮聲言自來，以誤於我，陛下纂嗣之初，先帝山陵有日，人心易搖，不宜輕舉，命將禦寇，深以為便。帝曰：「劉崇幸我大喪，聞我新立，自謂良便，必發狂謀，謂天下可取，謂神器可圖，此際必來，斷無疑耳！」馮道等以帝銳於親征，因固諍之。帝曰：「昔唐太宗之創業，靡不親征，朕何憚焉！」道曰：「陛下未可便學太宗。」帝又曰：「劉崇烏合之眾，茍遇王師，必如山壓卵耳。」道曰：「不知陛下作得山否？」帝不悅而罷。詔諸道募山林亡命之徒有勇力者送於闕下，仍目之為強人。帝以趫捷勇猛之士多出於群盜中，故令所在招納，有應命者，即貸其罪，以禁衛處之。至有朝行殺奪，暮升軍籍，讎人遇之不敢仰視。帝意亦患之，其後頗有不獲宥者。 |
