1  | 余友、天台陶君九成避兵三吳間，有田一廛，家於松南。作勞之暇，每以筆墨自隨，時時輟耕，休於樹陰，抱膝而嘯，鼓腹而歌，遇事肯綮，摘葉書之，貯一破盎，去則埋於樹根，人莫測焉。如是者十載，遂累盎至十數，一日盡發其藏，俾門人小子萃而錄之，得凡若干條，合三十卷，題曰《南村輟耕錄》。上兼六經、百氏之旨，下極稗官小史之談，昔之所未考。今之所聞，其採摭之博，侈於白貼，研核之精，擬於洪筆論議，抑揚有傷。今慨古之思，鋪張盛美，為忠臣孝子之勸，文章制度，水辨而明擬，假似根據，可覽而悉。蓋唐、宋以來，專門史學之所未讓，雖周室之藏，郯子之對，有不待環轍而後知，又豈抵掌談笑，以求賢於優孟者哉！九成名宗儀，少工舉子業，晚乃棄去闔戶著書，此其一云。至正丙午夏六月，江陰孫作大雅序》。 |
