《第十三卷》
41  | 書為六藝之一，書學不講，亦士大夫一俗也。如周布政晟，其弟蘇州同知冕；南京戶部孫郎中旵，其弟會杭知縣冕，皆不識冕字。又刊有刪除之義，如隨山刊木，井堙木刊，不刊之典之類是已。今人雕刻書版皆謂之刊，殊非字義。然宋人文字中，已有用之者，其來遠矣。六書有諧聲，梨之從利，榴之從留，桃之從兆，猶鵝之從我，鴨之從甲，雞之從奚，可類推也。近世作《本草衍義補》者，曰榴者留也，梨者利也，若曰桃者兆也，則不通矣。當各言性味可也。 |
