1  | 道光朝，杭州祟文书院有肄业生某者，貌清臞，若不胜衣，来时，无长物，一敝簏而已。每晨即他去，不知所往，午夜，则闻其鼾声雷动矣。与人殊落落。众疑之，私启其簏，无馀物，一剑仅尺馀，光芒照室成白，乃知剑仙，惧而覆盖，安置如常。一日薄暮，数生散步柳阴，某忽至，众讶其归之早，敂之，某曰：「仆久溷群公侧，明日，当归省老母，是以早归，一点检敝簏耳。」众曰：「与君聚首，良复寡时。归修温凊，奚敢尼君？簏中一剑，何畏人耶？」某笑谢曰：「仆固知某日某时公等曾发吾簏，然向所以不言者，恐致疑耳。仆少学剑术，粗明击刺，爱此山水，蹔息萍踪，乃亦为群公所知。」众曰：「君果仙矣。然人生蓬转，交臂易失，幸托同舍，敢求一观仙术，可乎？」某谢术浅，众强之，乃出剑曰：「聊以杨枝为戏，幸择欲中者。」众指第三树，高殆十丈许，曰：「中其杪之某枝，可乎？」某曰：「诺。」即见剑飞而上，斩某枝，枝未抵地，剑已入手。某即别众自归卧舍，是夜不闻鼾声，微明，视之，户阖如故，人簏俱杳。 |
