47  | 尝谓士之著述固有待序而传者，若夫先儒立言垂训，推广圣贤所未尽发，开示后人所未知闻，又何待序而后传耶！盖自周衰，圣学失传，汉、唐数百年间，岂无豪杰之士以孔、孟之言为学者欤？然而穷极性命之根柢，发明义理之精微，或有所未至也。宋兴既久，周子出于舂陵，河南程子、关中张子相继而起，其微言大义，传诸学者。凡天地之所以生成，日月之所以运行，山川之所以流峙，万物之所以茂遂，鬼神之所以秘，人道之所以明，莫不原理以达于用。紫阳朱子、东莱吕公叹其广大闳愽，若无津涯。念穷乡晚进有志于学，无贤师友以迪之，则不知所入也，因共掇其关于大体切于日用者，为近思录传焉。今国家九有会同，崇尚文治，而伊、洛诸儒之全书广布于世，不亦宜乎。 |
