3  | 是，犹「寔」也。《诗·宫》曰：「是生后稷。」言姜原寔生后稷也。字或作「氏」。《大戴礼·帝系》篇曰：「黄帝娶于西陵氏之子，谓之嫘祖句。氏产青阳及昌意。」言寔生青阳及昌意也。《礼记·曲礼》曰：「五官之长曰伯，是职方。」言寔主东西二方之事也。《论语·季氏》篇曰：「求，无乃尔是过与？」言尔寔过也。寔，字亦作「实」。僖五年《左传》：「鬼神非人实亲，惟德是依。」实，亦「是」也，互文耳。「是」训为「寔」，故「寔」亦训为「是」，见「寔」字下。 |
