4  | 楞嚴經圓通品普賢菩薩白佛言：我與恒沙如來為法王子，十方如來，教其弟子菩薩根者，修普賢行，從我立名，我用心聞心遍十方，若於恒沙界外，有一眾生發明普賢行者，我於爾時乗六牙白象，分身百千，擁護安位，此是普賢自唱，本因故現相海，於峩眉山中密引世人而通菩提覺性心王菩薩曰西南方有山名曰光明，現有菩薩名曰賢勝，三千眷屬常在其中，而演說法也。周烈王三十二年，有寳掌和尚，名曰千歲始生時，手掌有印文為記來禮，普賢設像供養，人所不識，常歎此山曰：高出五嶽秀甲九州島。漢氏永平中癸亥六月一日，有蒲公者採藥於雲窩，見一鹿而竒異之追，至絕頂無蹤，乃見威光煥赫，紫霧騰涌，聯絡交輝，成光明網，駭然歎曰：此之祥瑞，世所希有，非天上耶？徑投西來。千歲和尚而告之，荅曰：此是普賢祥瑞於末，法中守護，如來相教，現相於此化利，一切眾生，汝可詣騰法。二師急頂禮而究之。遂甲子逩洛陽白馬寺叅謁二師，盡以所見為告，師曰：善哉希有，汝等得見普賢，真善知識，昔我世尊在法華會，上以四法而付之曰：一者為諸佛護念，二者植重德本，三者入正定聚，四者發究一切眾生之心。菩薩依本願而現相於峩眉山也，名峩眉者，昔善財禮德，云比邱時，竚立妙高峰，而觀此山如初月，現故稱峩眉也。 |
