30  | 且說白公自從夫人故後，身邊並無姬妾，內中大小事，俱是紅玉小姐主持。就是白公外面有甚事，也要與小姐商量。這日白公與楊御史爭論做詩之事，早有家人報與小姐。小姐聽了，曉得楊御史為人不端，恐怕父親任意搶白，弄出禍來，因向家人道：「如今老爺詩做不做的？」家人道：「老爺執定不肯做詩，被楊爺灌了五六大杯因賭氣吃的，如今醉倒在榻上睡哩。」小姐又問道：「楊爺與蘇爺、舅老爺如今還在吃酒，還是做詩？」家人道：「俱是做詩。楊爺只等做完了詩，還要扯起老爺來灌酒哩。」小姐道：「老爺是真醉是假醉？」家人道：「老爺自吃了幾杯氣酒，雖不大醉，也有幾分酒了。」小姐想了一想，說道：「既是老爺醉了，你可悄悄將分與老爺的題目，拿進來我看。」 |
