白周禮曰：「㝠氏為穽，擭以攻，猛獸以靈鼔，敺之」。靈鼓，大靣鼓也。敺，使趨穽擭也。又曰：「凡害於國稼者，春秋為穽擭，秋塞穽杜擭。害稼，為禽獸也。擭為𣏣，㮙也。設於穽中秋塞之，謂其傷人也。書曰：杜乃擭敜乃阱。塞之。禮曰：人皆曰予。知驅而納諸罟擭，䧟阱之中而莫之知避。　虎兕出於柙，柙，檻也。猛獸在於䧟阱，則揺尾而求食。擭獸利人。　除害犯暴　標幟，律云：於深山作䧟穽者，須明立標幟，恐䧟人也。鷙獸禁暴，孔治機穽。李紳遷滁、壽二州刺史，霍山多虎，擷茶者病之，治機穽，發民跡，射不能止，紳至，盡去之，虎不為暴。拘若檻穽。吳武陵，信州人，少陽子元濟叛，武陵遺以書曰：「數百里之內，拘若檻穽，常疑死於左右手，抵回姑息」，不可謂明」。自投機穽，李翰五等論大臣側目相視，自投機穽。誘人。文粹，劉秩私錢，譏今塞其路，是設䧟穽而誘之入，不可三也。諸有猛獸之處，聼作檻穽射窩等，開元令。命塞䧟穽，顧少連補登封主簿，邑有虎，民患之，少連命塞䧟穽，移文嶽神，虎不為害。猛虎落檻穽坐，貪如孤㹠，韓文送進士劉師服東歸。
