49  | 予謂「《禮記》『魚去乙』謂『魚骨有似乙字』，非乙字之為魚骨也。」魚尾有似丙字，非丙字之為魚尾也。蠆尾有似丁字，非丁字之為蠆尾也。戼從二戶開闢之形，為日出物生之義，取象於門，非以為門也。丣從二戶相合之形為日入物收之義，取象於牖，非以為牖也。其餘，「史記、說文」亦皆有說，何為不可從乎？《史記 厯律志》云「『甲』言『萬物剖符甲而出』也。乙者，言萬物生，軋軋然也。丙者，言陽道著明。丁者，言萬物之丁壯也。庚者，言陽氣庚萬物。辛者，言萬物之辛生。壬之為言『任』也，言陽氣任養萬物於下也。癸之為言『揆』也，言萬物可揆度也。子者，滋也，言萬物滋於下也。丑者，紐也，言陽氣在上，未降萬物，厄紐未敢出也。寅言萬物始生，蚓然引也。卯之為言茂也，言萬物茂也。辰言萬物之蜄振也。巳言陽氣之巳盡也。午言陰陽之交愕布子午也。未言萬物皆有滋味也。申者言陰用事申賊萬物，又言物堅於申也。酉者言萬物之老也。戌者言萬物盡滅。亥者，該也，言陽氣藏於下，故該也。」 |
