| 4 | 秦中為周、秦、漢、西魏、北周、隋、唐、歴代都㑹其地，北暨朔方，南環漢沔，西抵隴坂，東界潼津，幅員廣袤數千里。自肇州以來為國邑，為郡縣，為道府，路為軍衛，所制以代異名，以時更紛如繡錯。今自夏、商以降，各繪一圖，使廢置分合，星羅碁布，明於指掌，以象告也。至圖不盡意，又綴以兩表，或臚列一代之郡縣，使大小相維以為之緯，或貫穿累代之沿革，使先後相承，以為之經，一縱一横，參伍錯綜，又慮其說無徴復原本經史，博採志乘，一遵本朝府州縣定制，遡夏、商以逮元明，代立一考，以與圖表，互相發明，雖蜀、漢、魏、周地志闕如，亦必㑹萃衆說，捃摭遺文，以存一代之概，庶幾古今建置，囊括靡遺矣。本朝省府州縣統屬考。 |
