○姜夔徵招越中山水幽遠,予數上下西興錢清間,襟抱曠清。越人善為舟,捲篷方底,舟師行歌,徐徐曳之,如偃臥榻上,無動搖突兀勢,以故得盡情騁望。予欲家焉而未得,作徽招以寄興。徽招、角招者,政和間大晟府嘗製數十曲,音節駁矣。予嘗考唐田畸聲律要訣云:「徽與二變之詞,咸非流美,故自古少徵調曲也。」徵為去母調,與黃鐘之徵,以黃鐘為母,不用黃鐘乃諧。故隋唐舊譜不用母聲。琴家無媒調、商調之類,皆徵也。亦皆具母弦而不用。其說詳於予所作琴書。然黃鐘以林鐘為徵,住聲於林鐘,若不用黃鐘聲,便自成林鐘宮矣。故大晟府徵調兼母聲,一句似黃鐘均,一句似林鐘均,所以當時有落韻之語。予嘗使人吹而聽之,寄君聲於臣民事物之中,清者高而亢,濁者下而遺,萬寶常所謂宮離而不附者是已。因再三推尋唐譜,並琴弦法,而得其意。黃鐘徵雖不用母聲,亦不可多用變徵蕤賓,變宮應鐘聲,若不用黃鐘而用蕤賓應鐘,即是林鐘宮矣。餘十一均徵調仿此。其法可謂善矣。然無清聲,趴┲琴瑟,難入燕樂,故燕樂闕徵調,不必補可也。此一曲乃予昔所製,因舊曲正宮齊天樂慢前兩拍是徵調,故足成之。雖兼用母聲,較大晟曲為無病矣。此曲依晉史名曰黃鐘下徵調,角招曰黃鐘清角調。同上
