2  | 王盘《农桑辑要》序曰：圣天子临御天下，使斯民生业富乐，而永无饥寒之忧。诏立大司农司，不治他事，而专以劝课农桑为务。行之五六年，功効大著，民间垦辟种艺之业，増前数倍。农司诸公，又虑夫田里之人，虽能勤身从事，而播殖之宜，蚕缫之节，或未得其术，则力劳而功寡，获约而不丰矣。于是徧求古今所有农家之书，披阅叅考，删其繁重，摭其要，切纂成一书，曰《农桑辑要》。凡七卷，镂为板本。以进呈毕，将颁布天下，属余题其卷首。余尝论《𡺳诗》，知周家所以成八百年兴王之业者，皆由稼穑艰难，积累以致之。读《孟子》书，见论语王道，丁宁反覆，皆不出乎夫畊妇蚕，五鸡二彘，无失其时，老者衣帛食肉，黎民不饥不寒，数十字而已。大哉农桑！真斯民衣食之源，有国者富强之本。王者所以兴教化，厚风俗，敦孝弟，崇礼教，致太平，跻斯民于仁夀，未有不权舆于此者矣。然则二书之出，其利益天下，岂可一二言之哉？ |
