78  | 染人掌染丝帛。凡染，春暴练，夏纁玄，秋染夏，冬献功。暴练，练其素而暴之。故书纁作䵫。郑司农云：「䵫读当为纁，纁谓绛也。夏，大也，秋乃大染。」玄谓纁玄者，谓始可以染此色者。玄纁者，天地之色，以为祭服。石染当及盛暑热润始湛研之，三月而后可用。《考工记》锺氏则染纁术也。染玄则史传阙矣。染夏者，染五色，谓之夏者，其色以夏狄为饰。《禹贡》曰：「羽𤰕夏狄」，是其总名。其类有六：曰翬，曰摇，曰𠷎，曰甾，曰希，曰蹲。其毛羽五色皆备成章，染者拟以为深浅之度，是以放而取名焉。○暴，步卜反，刘步落反，注同。秋染，如琰反，注「染夏」同。夏，户雅反，后除「春夏」之字皆同，可以意求，不复重出。䵫，音勋，一音郁。湛，徐子廉反，刘慈鸩反。𤰕，古犬反。𠷎，直刘反，刘音寿，徐音酬。蹲，音存，徐祖混反，一音遵。希，如字，刘张履反。放，方往反。 |
