8  | 頡利初嗣立，承父兄之資，兵馬強盛。有憑陵中國之志。高祖以中原初定，不遑外略，每優容之，賜與不可勝計。頡利言辭悖傲，求請無厭。四年四月，頡利自率萬餘騎，與馬邑賊苑君璋將兵六千人共攻雁門。定襄王李大恩擊走之。先是漢陽公蘇瑰、太常卿鄭元璹、左驍衛大將軍長孫順德等各使於突厥，頡利並拘之。我亦留其使，前後數輩。至是為大恩所挫，於是乃懼，仍放順德還，更請和好。獻魚膠數十斤，欲充二國同於此膠。高祖嘉之，放其使者特勒熱寒、阿史德等還蕃，賜以金帛。 |
