44  | 會逢吉復相，力起楚，以李紳在翰林沮之，不克。敬宗立，逐出紳，即拜楚為河南尹。遷宣武節度使。汴軍以驕故，而韓弘弟兄務以峻法繩治，士偷於安，無革心。楚至，解去酷烈，以仁惠鐫諭，人人悅喜，遂為善俗。入為戶部尚書，俄拜東都留守，徙天平節度使。始，汴、鄆帥每至，以州錢二百萬入私藏，楚獨辭不取。又毀李師古園檻僭制者。久之，徙節河東。召為吏部尚書，檢校尚書右僕射。故事，檢校官重，則從其班；楚以吏部自有品，固辭，有詔嘉允。俄兼太常卿，進拜左僕射、彭陽郡公。 |
