145  | 《本草》谓蝼蛄为鼫鼠，即《荀子》鼯鼠五技而穷者，谓之鼫鼠，而引鼯鼠事，全不可晓。《荀子注》称：鼯，能飞，不能上屋；能游，不能渡谷；能缘，不能穷木；能走，不能及人；能穴，不能覆身。许氏《说文》言：今河东有硕鼠，大能人立，前两脚于头上跳舞。善鸣，食人禾黍。逐则走入空树中，有五技。《本草》之论，其果然耶？《尔雅》于馨日：天蝼也。不闻有鼯、鼫之说。疏曰：一名硕鼠。疏作于本朝诸公，非正文也。于鼫鼠注虽引蔡邕蝼蛄之说，郭璞以为形大如鼠，头似兔，尾有毛，青黄色，好在田中食粟豆，关中呼为鼫鼠，则与蔡说不同。于鼯鼠夷岫注云：似蝙蝠，肉翅，飞且乳，亦名飞生，音如人，食火烟。又与𧐡不类。郭璞《鼯鼠赞》曰：鼯之为鼠，食烟栖林，载飞载乳，乍兽乍禽，反藉孕妇，人为大任。《鼫鼠赞》曰：五能之鼠，伎无能执，应气而化，翻飞驾集，诗人歌之，无食我粒。是鼯、鼫判然二物，非𧐡明矣。前辈诗用鼯处极多，韩愈诗：猿呼鼯啸鹧鸪啼；蛟龙出没猩鼯号。李白诗：鼯啼桂方秋；饥鼯频呻。杜甫诗：抨弓落𪕏鼯；饥鼯诉落藤。苏诗：麏鼯号古戍；饥鼯嗅空案。俱不及于五技。黄诗虽云：五技鼯鼠笑鸠拙。亦不以为馨，前辈尝以蔡说为非，《本草》必因邕而附益之。不然则蝼蛄之五技偶与鼯同，因以名之。若鼠头、兔尾、人立、跳舞与飞乳、人音，决非蝼蛄，明矣。 |
