14  | 奇章公始舉進士，致琴書於灞滻間，先以所業謁韓文公、皇甫員外。時首造退之，退之他適，第留卷而已。無何，退之訪湜，遇奇章亦及門。二賢見刺，欣然同契，延接詢及所止。對曰：「某方以薄技卜妍醜於崇匠，進退惟命。一囊猶置於國門之外。」二公披卷，卷首有《說樂》一章，未閱其詞，遽曰：「斯高文，且以拍板為什麼？」對曰：「謂之樂句。」二公相顧大喜曰：「斯高文必矣！」公因謀所居。二公沈默良久，曰：「可於客戶坊稅一廟院。」公如所教，造門致謝。二公復誨之曰：「某日可遊青龍寺，薄暮而歸。」二公其日聯鑣至彼，因大署其門曰：「韓愈、皇甫湜同謁幾官先輩。」不過翌日，輦轂名士咸往觀焉。奇章之名由是赫然矣。 |
