《禮十九》
4  | 議曰：鄭玄據周禮、春秋穀梁、逸禮本命篇等，男必三十而娶，女必十五乃嫁。王肅據孔子家語、服經等，以為男十六可以娶，女十四可以嫁，三十、二十，言其極耳。又按家語：「魯哀公問於孔子曰：『男子十六而精通，女子十四而化育，是則可生人矣。而禮必三十而室，女必二十而嫁，豈不晚哉？』孔子曰：『夫禮言其極耳，不是過也。男二十而冠，有為人父之端；女十五許嫁，有適人之道。』」又曰「孔子年十九，而娶於宋之幵官氏」。又曰「孔子七十三而終，伯魚年五十，先孔子而卒」。而服經有「為夫姊之長殤」。據此，王鄭之說，義並未明。今按，三十二十而娶嫁者，周官云「掌萬民之判」，即眾庶之禮也。故下云「於是時也，奔者不禁」。服經「為夫姊之長殤」，士大夫之禮也。左傳「十五而生子」，國君之禮也。且官有貴賤之異，而婚得無尊卑之殊乎！則卿士大夫之子，十五六之後，皆可嫁娶矣。 |
