13  | 單氏千難萬難，祈求下兩個孩兒，卻被丈大不仁，自家毒死了。待要廝罵一場，也是枉然。氣又忍不過，苦又熬不過。走進內房，解個束腰羅帕，懸梁自縊。金員外哭了兒子一場，方纔收淚。到房中與阿媽商議說話，見梁上這件打鞦韆的東西，嚇得半死。登時就得病上牀，不夠七日，也死了。金氏族家，平昔恨那金冷水、金剝皮慳吝，此時天賜其便，大大小小，都蜂擁而來，將家私搶個罄盡。此乃萬貫家財，有名的金員外一個終身結果，不好善而行惡之報也。有詩為證： |
