17  | 通州符生，以文為君知，嘗侍，從容以吏事干君。君曰：「書生乃可言及此耶？」既而曰：「汝毋乃貧乎？曷不語我？而俾人以利訹汝。」遂厚予之。生感而奮，為善士。海濱以灶戶煮鹽，舊給之田，灶戶輒賣之民，且百年，田價增八九倍，而田數易主矣。有議：「奪田與灶戶，使灶戶第償故直。」君曰：「是非平法也。且灶戶貧，不能買田，必姦民誘使為名，而陰據之。是平民失業而姦民利也。」以告上官，不聽。君曰：「厲民為媚可乎？」投劾遂去。 |
