5  | 經曰：「地利者，兵之助。」猶天時不可恃也。昔三苗氏，左洞庭，右彭蠡，德義不修，禹滅之；夏桀之居，左河濟，右太華，伊闕在其南，羊腸在其北，修政不仁，湯放之；殷紂之國，左孟門，右太行，常山在其北，太河經其南，荒淫怠政，武王殺之；秦之地左峟函，右汧隴，終南、太華居其前，九原、上郡居其後，刑政苛酷，子嬰迎降於軹道、姚泓面縛於灞上；吳之居，五嶺在其南，三江在其北，左滄浪，右衡山，刑政不修，吳王終於歸命陳主、卒於長城；蜀之分，左巫峽，右邛僰，南有瀘溪之障，北有劍閣之險，時無英雄，劉禪不能守，李勢不能固。由此言之，天時不能佑無道之主，地利不能濟亂亡之國。地之險易，因人而險，因人而易；無險、無不險，無易、無不易，存亡在於德，戰守在於地。惟聖主智將能守之，地奚有險易哉！ |
