100  | 史寧，字永和，建康表氏人也。曾祖豫，仕沮渠氏為臨松令。魏平涼州，祖灌隨例遷於撫寧鎮，因家焉。父遵，初為征虜府鎧曹參軍。杜洛周構逆，六鎮自相屠隱，遵遂率鄉里奔恆州。其後恆州為賊所敗，遵後歸洛陽，拜樓煩郡守。及寧著勳，贈散騎常侍、征西大將軍、涼州刺史，謚曰貞。寧少以軍功，累加持節、征東將軍、金光祿大夫。賀拔勝為荊州刺史，寧以本官為勝軍司，隨勝之部。會荊蠻騷動，三鵶路絕。寧先驅平之，因撫慰蠻左，翕然降附。尋除南郢州刺史。及勝為大行臺，表寧為大都督。攻梁下溠戍破之，封武平縣伯。又攻拔梁齊興鎮等九城。未及論功，屬孝武西遷，東魏遣侯景寇荊州，寧隨勝奔梁。梁武帝引寧至香蹬前，謂之曰：「觀卿風表，終是富貴，我當使卿衣錦還鄉。」寧答曰：「臣世荷魏恩，位為列將，天長喪亂，本朝傾覆，不能北面事逆賊，幸得息肩有道。儻如明詔，欣幸實多。」 |
