| 5 | 臣等謹按反切之學，自西域入中國，至齊、梁間盛行第。今所存《廣韻、集韻》、《古今韻㑹》諸書皆止華言，並無梵韻。所以轉梵為華之，故稽考實難。我朝文徳覃敷，化行無外，天竺西番字母，皆得洞悉周知。因以逐字尋聲，因聲考字，聲經音緯，洞若發蒙。葢韻分六部，呼分四等。至於輕重清濁之辨，平聲之字甚顯，仄聲之字差微，就平聲之字按韻尋呼。按呼求字，則每韻皆有四字收聲，每呼各得諧聲一字，其音之宫商清濁，無不脗合。將華、嚴三十六字母列於前舊傳三十字，及近世字母列于後牙齒喉舌，各注本條。又取梵音三十六字為華音字母所從出者列于上，各按音韻呼法展轉求之。則華之某字出於梵之某字，與其用華之仄。不如用梵之平，顯然共見。謹據同文，韻統各譜，具著於篇。 |
