8  | 始在髫鬌，而知廉让；髫，发也。礼记曰：「子生三月之末，择日翦发为鬌，男角女羁，否则男左女右。」鬌音徒果反。十岁就学，能通诗、论；及长，专精礼、易。不读非圣之书，不修贺问之好。有先人草庐结于罔畔，山脊曰冈。下有陂田，常肆勤以自给。肆，陈也。非身所耕渔，则不食也。乡党宗族希得见者。谢承书曰「燮居家清处，非法不言，兄弟、父子、室家相待如賔，乡曲不善者皆从其敎」也。 |
| 16 | 时陈蕃为太守，以礼请署功曹，稺不免之，旣谒而退。蕃在郡不接賔客，唯稺来特设一榻，去则县之。后举有道，家拜太原太守，就家而拜之也。皆不就。 |
