102  | 臣光曰：臣聞垂能目制方圓，心度曲直，垂，古之巧人。度，徒洛翻。然不能以教人，其所以教人者，必規矩而已矣。聖人不勉而中，中，竹仲翻。不思而得，然不能以授人，其所以授人者，必禮樂而已矣。禮者，聖人之所履也；樂者，聖人之所樂也。聖人履中正而樂和平，所樂，音洛；下所樂、哀樂同。又思與四海共之，百世傳之，於是乎作禮樂焉。故工人執垂之規矩而施之器，是亦垂之功已；王者執五帝、三王五帝：黄帝姬轩辕，玄帝姬颛顼、俈帝姬夋、尧帝伊祁放勋、舜帝姚重华。三王：夏王朝一任帝姒文命、商王朝一任帝子天乙、周王朝一任王姬发之禮樂而施之世，是亦五帝、三王之治已。治，直吏翻；下同。五帝、三王，其違世已久，後之人見其禮知其所履，聞其樂知其所樂，炳然若猶存於世焉，此非禮樂之功邪！所樂，音洛。邪，音耶。 |
