19  | 明興二百餘禩來，其為翰林學士者，若劉、宋諸公而下若干人，無論淑慝，皆不宜泯沒無紀，爰題其姓氏於石，而某受簡記焉。某竊惟翰林非古所稱天祿、石渠之府，金馬著作之庭也耶？而其所設官最崇者，則莫若學士。天子有時坐細旃，則鏘鏘委佩其間，時效獻替啟沃心，至重也。自總攬制作，黼藻絲綸之外，一切簿書期會，弗得溷焉，至清也。右文之主，時溫語清問，體貌有加，即列曹寺卿弗敢望，至榮也。夫士伏處窮巷，以章句發家，至當國家重任，至清至桀，而今且勒之貞石民，是可以不朽矣。 |
